- test instructions with 3 to 4 steps to verify a desired outcome is achieved
- debug any errors in a set of instructions to achieve a desired outcome

During Makerspace this week students had an opportunity to practice their coding skills while working hands-on with our exciting little Tale-bots! These programmable little robots help foster and enhance student creativity, problem solving, as well as critical and computational thinking. Working together in groups, students took turns choosing different target locations on their mat for their Tale-bot to get to. One student would write the directions ('coding plan') on the recording sheet, and another student would use these directions to program the Tale-bot by selecting the various direction and movement buttons in the order according to the plan. When students realized they had made an error they were quick to problem solve and debug their Tale-bot and get back on track! Using the 'Dance' button at the end of a program seemed to be the favourite way to show that the Tale-bot had successfully hit their target destination!
