Learning Intention: Movement Skill Development (PE and Wellness)
- students modify movement to improve control and efficiency.

I Can:
- build relationships through teamwork.
- display behaviours that support participation, safety, and participant enjoyment.
- utilize movement skills from one physical activity in another physical activity.
- participate in repeated practice for skill development.
- modify movement to improve control and efficiency.

We practiced working together as a team! The challenge was to get as many pieces of equipment out of your teams boundary and into the other team's boundary in a set amount of time. During this excitement, grade 2s practiced a combination of running, picking up, and throwing toward an intended target, all while maintaining self-regulation and impulse control to ensure the safety of all students.

We practiced movement skills intended to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination. The goal was not to move as fast as you can this time. Students were encouraged to focus on their positioning and refine their technique while walking like a bear, a crab, and a seal.

Students had the opportunity to practice movement skills while manipulating an object (a bean bag!) There were some fancy moves happening in grade 2: toss, turn and catch; toss and catch on the back of your hand; toss and catch on the top of your foot!

We end PE with a calming activity to make sure we are regulated to go back to the classroom. Do you have opera-singer posture!? We do! We practiced by holding a bean bag on our head. Opera singing helped too. Check out our video:
